Meet the Founder
👋 I’m Andres Reales, a software engineer who believes technology can unlock creativity in every student. After hearing from teachers about the struggle to get kids writing authentically, I created Story Writing Lab to inspire imagination and originality.
My mission has always been to use technology to solve meaningful challenges, such as Wise Owl Teacher, an AI tool that helps teachers grade student essays. As an engineer, entrepreneur, and lifelong learner, I’m dedicated to creating tools that empower both teachers and students to unlock their full potential.
The Story
Story Writing Lab was inspired by conversations with teachers who shared a common concern: students weren’t writing enough, and too often, their work lacked originality. Many kids were tempted to copy and paste from AI or online sources instead of expressing their own ideas.
As someone who built tools for educators before, such as Wise Owl Teacher, I wanted to create a tool that motivates kids to write more, and write creatively. Story Writing Lab is designed to spark imagination, encourage authentic storytelling, and help students develop their unique voices.
