2. What is Story Writing Lab?
The platform is a browser-based multiplayer creative writing game designed for collaborative and competitive storytelling. It develops writing skills through time-limited challenges. Content defaults to ages 13+, though teachers can adjust settings for different age groups.
3. Eligibility and Age Restrictions
Services target teachers, students, and educational institutions. Children under 13 may use the platform only with parental/guardian consent or institutional supervision, complying with COPPA and applicable laws. Users represent they meet eligibility requirements.
4. User Accounts and Security
Account creation requires accurate information. Users maintain credential confidentiality and bear responsibility for all account activities. Unauthorized use must be reported immediately. Accounts are individual and non-transferable.
5. Code of Conduct
Users must operate lawfully and respectfully. Prohibited actions include illegal use, uploading unlawful/obscene content, disrupting services, collecting personal information without consent, and impersonation. Violations result in suspension or termination.
6. Content and Intellectual Property
Users retain ownership of created content. By submitting, users grant Story Writing Lab “a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license” to use, reproduce, modify, display, and distribute content. 7. Privacy

8. Disclaimer of Warranties
Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties. The company doesn't guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or safe operation, disclaiming merchantability and fitness warranties.

Story Writing Lab limits liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Total liability caps at amounts paid within 12 months. Users indemnify the company against claims from their violations or service use.
